What does LTV mean?
LTV is an acronym for “loan to value”. The loan to value or LTV ratio of a property is the percentage of the property's adjusted value that is being mortgaged. The LTV is computed as the base loan amount divided by the adjusted value. The maximum LTV ratios vary depending upon the type of borrower, type of transaction (purchase or refinance), program type, and stage of construction.
